Follow App updates from preparation to activation
App Catalog shows background preparation, activation waits and recovery without resetting existing data.
What changed
App installations and updates now show background preparation and the wait for activation in App Catalog. The confirmation lists the published App versions to apply, including required Apps. Existing data is retained, and Apps already in use remain available while a prepared version waits to go live.
What this means
A request being accepted or prepared is distinct from the new version being active. The catalog updates automatically. You can cancel a queued request; after execution begins, follow its status. Failed preparation offers recovery only when the previous execution has stopped and recovery is available.
What to do next
Save unfinished work, review the App/version list, and confirm completion in the catalog and the App's work screen. Access permissions still apply after installation. Follow Install and update Apps without resetting your data for the full procedure.
